meet our therapists

I am a HCPC registered counselling and clinical psychologist and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society in the U.K.

My approach to therapy has a phenomenological underpinning but remains informed by a range of evidence based approaches. I have undertaken further specialist training in EMDR, CBT, and third wave approaches such as Mindfulness, Compassion based interventions and Acceptance and Commitment therapy.

With over 14 years of experience as a qualified psychologist and over 20 years in field of mental health, I have acquired an extensive clinical portfolio. I have held posts in the statutory (NHS primary, and secondary mental health), voluntary and independent sector, assuming varying levels of clinical and operational responsibility for the psychological care and treatment of clients presenting with a range of issues and of varying complexity and clinical severity. I have experience of working with individuals, couples and families as well as group work.

I currently work in the NHS as an interim care pathway lead for Inpatient and Acute Psychology.

Due to the breadth of clinical experience acquired, I am able to work with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety disorders, transitions, loss and bereavement, stress related conditions, physical health issues, cognitive difficulties, relationship difficulties and sleep problems.

My special interests include later life issues, trauma/PTSD and neuropsychological and physical health conditions.

I aspire to be an open, compassionate and effective therapist, committed to best practice and adhering always to strict ethical guidelines.
