What are the benefits of joining Talkcircle?
As a Talkcircle practitioner, therapists will be able to reach new clients in new regions, many of whom are looking for therapy with someone who speaks their native language and understands their culture.
Therapy sessions are all undertaken via Talkcircle's secure dashboard. Both therapists and clients will benefit from the increased convenience, flexibility and effectiveness that Talkcircle provides.
For therapists are already using Skype or another video platform for online sessions, switching to Talkcircle increases the safety and privacy of your sessions and communication with clients, all managed on a one-page dashboard with an easy booking and payment system.
Who can become a Talkcircle practitioner?
To be eligible to join our network therapists need to be a licensed psychologist or psychotherapist in their country of practise or home country. We require therapists to have received training in a reputable university recognised globally. We require a minimum of two years of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time. We also require proof of license and professional indemnity insurance along with professional references.

Are therapists Talkcircle employees?
Therapists are not Talkcircle employees and are not exclusive to the platform. Therapists have access to our online clients to increase their client base.
How much time are therapists expected to commit?
We give therapists the freedom to choose how much time they want to commit to Talkcircle. Therapists manage online client schedules in the same way they manage their face-to-face client schedules. When fully booked, therapists public profiles will reflect such to prevent any overbooking and clients can still message therapists for potential future bookings.
Text Therapy
Therapists have a choice to participate in text therapy. If subscribed they are obliged to respond to clients a minimum of once a day, however we encourage more contact if your client requires it.
Who is the Connector and what is their role?
Our Community Managers are in-house specialists who help our clients select a suitable therapists in their areas of need. Community Managers may request information from Therapists from time to time.
How do I generate clients on Talkcircle?
Clients will be able to find therapist's profiles by using the search function on Talkcircle's site whereby they can message or book direct. Clients can also be referred to therapists by our Community Manager who helps clients find a therapist to match their needs. Talkcircle requires therapist’s specialisation to be shown on their public profiles.
What if a client cancels a session?
As we understand that situations can change, we offer a flexible cancellation policy:
- Full refund for cancellation beyond 48 hours
- 50% payment if client cancels within 48 hours
- 100% payment if client cancels within 24 hours
Can I work with children and teenagers?
Currently only clients above the age of 18 can seek help with Talkcircle.
What about emergencies? What to do if clients have thoughts of harming themselves?
Talkcircle is not an emergency service. Clients who have thoughts of harming themselves are encouraged to seek help locally.
Can I bring my existing online clients to Talkcircle?
Yes, therapists can invite their clients to Talkcircle and upon sign up, sessions can be scheduled on Talkcircle.
Does Talkcircle offer training for the therapists?
Talkcircle therapists are undergo introductory training on the platform if requested and are informed of any significant upgrades or changes.
Is Talkcircle secure?
Client data is protected as rigorously as the client data in face-to-face therapy. This means that our technology is up-to-date and performs as per best practice on data security. All shared information is safe with us.
Does Talkcircle record the video sessions?
No, we do not record any video sessions as we take privacy very seriously.
Is it safe for clients to pay on the Talkcircle website?
Security is one of our biggest considerations, and as such we do not store any credit cards on the Talkcircle servers. Our payment gateway is ranked number one in America, and uses banking-grade 256-bit encryption and SSL best practice encryption.
How much will becoming a Talkcircle therapist cost?
Talkcircle is free to join and there is no monthly charge. Therapists can set their own hourly rate and Talkcircle add a standard administration fee to cover the cost of the provided service.
How is payment handled?
Clients pay Talkcircle using all major credit & debit cards. Therapists payments are paid on a monthly basis.
Currency and payment processing
Talkcircle offers session in US Dollars and as such billing, clients receipts and therapists are paid to in USD. Withdrawals to local currency are based on the exchange rate at the time of the request. Bank transfer charges are not covered by Talkcircle.
What is the minimum amount professional indemnity insurance cover required?
All Talkcircle therapists must have professional indemnity insurance and provide the required proof of such. The minimum amount over cover for depends on therapist’s country of residence. Please contact us for country specific information about the minimum amount of cover required.
Can clients get sessions reimbursed by their insurance company?
Currently we do not offer direct billing. We encourage clients to contact their insurance company to check if they are covered for telemedicine services. Talkcircle sends email receipts that may be required for reimbursement.
